What is the difference between a bow shackle and a D shackle?

A bow or anchor shackle has a wider rounded body that accommodates loads from more than one direction. A D or chain shackle has a narrower profile intended primarily for straight-line loading. Always follow the exact product's published loading instructions.

How do screw, captive, bolt and round pins differ?

Screw pins are convenient for connections that are opened regularly. Captive pins remain attached to reduce loss. Bolt-type pins use a nut and retaining pin for more secure long-term assemblies. What is a no-snag shackle?
