Hand Swage Components

Shop hand swage components for field-made wire-rope eyes and terminations used in marine, architectural and cable-railing assemblies. The category includes aluminum, copper, stainless steel and zinc-copper swage sleeves, compatible stop sleeves and selected hand-swage fittings.

Hand swaging forms a permanent connection by compressing a correctly sized sleeve or stop around compatible wire rope with the specified tool and die. Sleeves commonly form an eye around a thimble or join an approved cable arrangement, while stop sleeves create a formed termination for a compatible fitting. Material, sleeve construction and cable type are not automatically interchangeable.

Before ordering, confirm the wire-rope diameter and construction, sleeve material, required number and position of compressions, compatible swager or die and the finished-gauge requirements. Follow the instructions for the exact component and tool. Inspect every finished termination for correct compression, wire damage and slippage. Do not use a hand-swaged assembly for lifting, fall protection or another critical application unless every component, tool and completed assembly is specifically approved and verified for that service.
